A liposomal booster built around rh-Oligopeptide-1, a 53 amino acid sequence. Used at 1 to 10% in your own serums and lotions for the look of firmer, smoother skin.

This is a formulation ingredient, not a finished serum. Do not apply it undiluted.

What is in the bottle

INCI: Water (Aqua), Phospholipids, rh-Oligopeptide-1

Three ingredients. The peptide is encapsulated in phospholipid liposomes rather than sitting loose in solution.

Clear liquid. Water-soluble. Odourless. Paraben-free. Made in the USA. 0.5 fl oz blue glass dropper bottle.

What rh-Oligopeptide-1 is

rh-Oligopeptide-1 is the INCI name for what the industry calls EGF — a 53 amino acid sequence produced by recombinant methods. It is one of the longer sequences used in cosmetic formulating; most peptides on this site are three to eight amino acids.

The liposomal encapsulation is the point of this particular version: phospholipid carriers are used to improve stability and delivery compared with an unencapsulated solution.

How much to add

Recommended usage rate is 1 to 10%. Using our house rate of 9 drops per 1% per fluid ounce:

Concentration Into 1 oz Into 2 oz
1% 9 drops · 0.3 g 18 drops · 0.6 g
5% 45 drops · 1.5 g 90 drops · 3.0 g
10% 90 drops · 3.0 g 180 drops · 6.0 g

Full conversions on the serum booster chart.

How to use it

  1. Choose a water-based serum or lotion as your base.
  2. Add the active at the end of formulating, at room temperature — not during a heated phase. Liposomes do not appreciate heat.
  3. Stir gently until uniform. Avoid whipping air in.
  4. Bottle, label with the date, and refrigerate.

Commonly used on the forehead, jawline and eye contours.

Storage

Refrigerate on arrival. The blue glass limits light exposure.

For external use only. Cosmetic grade. Do not apply undiluted to skin. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
